With immediate effect the School Board of the Canton of Schwyz is adding the audio tour about the Monastery of Einsiedeln (Yellow Tour) by Audiotours to its curriculum. In the future every class will visit the village once during their time at school to follow this audio tour as part of the subject “Local History and Geography”.

 

The students will be able to pick up a regular audio player at the Tourism Office of Einsiedeln just like any other visitor. This allows them to listen to all the interesting facts about the history of a particular place, whilst being there. Alternatively it is possible to use your own mobile phone, as all content can be accessed by calling 0844 444 446 and entering the appropriate site code (20101 to 20109).

 

The integration of this audio tour into the curriculum of the Canton of Schwyz shows that a facility geared towards tourists can be intelligently connected to other sectors. This not only increases the value of the audio tour but it also creates additional creative ideas for marketing the entire tourist destination.
